Other options
• internal optical drive
o I will use this option because, I do play a lot of DVD on my computer , and have a continuous need for using the cd-rom drive as far as uploading new software or even burring a cd for music.
• printers
o I will definitely need to be purchasing this device. As it will come in handy for me as do print off all of my work for school, I think I would possibly looking at one that has a scanner attached to it as well though.
• sound card and speakers
o This is a definite purchase as I do listen to music a lot through my computer. I listen to music so much that to me its worth it spending a few more bucks to receive a lot higher sound quality coming out of my computer for when I do play my music as I like to do so loud.
• keyboard
o This is obvious one. But in a seriousness I know they come with the computer automatically, but I believe that I would upgrade to getting a wireless keyboard and mouse combo. I just like the idea of fewer wires in the way as I do use the computer a lot every day.
• TV tuner
o This I would definitely buy just out of curiosity. I think it is very fascinating to be able to watch and record TV to your computer. Once I figure the technology out I believe I would be a strong user of it because I would like to be able to do what it features, since I am never home.

Video Card & Displays
Video card - nVidia GeForce 9200 Integrated Graphics, nVidia GeForce 9400 Integrated Graphics
Display options - Integrated 18.5” W LCD , 16:9 Aspect Ratio, WXGA (1366x768) - all products included this and is the same. They offer a touch screen monitor for $100 more.
o size 18.5"
o type LCD
o resolution 1366x768
o price : same with all products included
The only difference between the two options is a $100 , and one is a touch screen the other is a regular screen , but the specs for both monitors are the same.
My option I picked
• screen size – 18.5 inches
• resolution – 1366x768
• video capabilities - nVidia GeForce 9400 Integrated Graphics
I choose that the upgraded option for the touch screen meets my computing needs. Because I have always wanted a touch screen monitor , also the resolution is the same so its not a step down in resolution quality getting the upgraded monitor.

Option 1
GB amount of storage 500MB.
drive speed 7200 RPM.
drive type SATA.
price $ 120 more.
Option 2
GB amount of storage 320MB.
drive speed 7200 RPM.
drive type SATA.
Price $ 30 more.
option requires to run
GB amount of storage 320MB.

drive type SATA.
The main difference between all the options was the amount of storage everything else was all the same. I ended up choosing the option 1 , just because of the higher memory storage it offers, which i believe will come in handy later on in my life.

Your RAM (Memory)
Option 1
3 GB amount of memory
shared, type DDR2
speed, BUS 800mhz
price $120 more.
Option 2
2 GB amount of memory
shared, type DDR2
speed, BUS 800mhz
price $30 more.
Then highest RAM, i can have is option one, which has all the specs included with it. I selected the option one ram. It has all the memory and is more than option 2 , the speed is the same along with the shared type. Also for the price it is not that bad of a deal. But in the end it comes down to option one is a better buy for me. The original didn't have the memory and speed that i think would be suitable for me in the future and now in the present.

Your Processor, Motherboard & Buses
• Duo E8400
o Dual core
o Clock speed (3.00ghz)
o Cache (6mb)
o Front side bus (1333mhz)
o Add $140.00 to regular price
• Duo E8500
o Dual core
o Clock speed (3.16ghz)
o Cache (6mb)
o Front side bus (1333mhz)
o Add $180.00 to regular price
The highest recommended processor speed is Intel Core 2 Duo (E5400). This one also required most computing power. I choose the Duo E8500. I selected the upgraded option because it has faster operating system, along with larger memory and faster all around transferring data speed . Which is very nice because I hate slow computers and that’s the most important thing to me when buying a new computer. Also this next computer I buy I am also thinking in regards to my future like 4 or 5 years out about how I will need and use the computer. But saying all of this it does not overdo my computer needs, as it is just a perfect fit.

Your Form Factor & Base Configuration
• I have no preference of how big the computer is? I choose the Dell All-in-Ones. And the desktop computer. Just because they are cheaper for the price you pay for the computer and it is a little bit bigger than a laptop but to me that doesn’t matter. Also the All-in-One has everything I need.
• Dell Studio one is the machine that meets my needs. It fascinates me by the touch screen it offers which is very neat; also the built in Wi-Fi is a must to me. It also has a HD screen resolution , with a built in webcam, it has all the ram and memory size I need and desire. Also offers a free service warranty plan for 1 year.
• The class machine I choose Studio one 19. It offers all the programs I need. Also it comes with 7-in-1 media card reader, also has DVD and editing videos. Also you can have wireless keyboards and mouse, also has many usb ports which is nice because I use a lot of them. The sound quality is perfect which means it is going to be nice when watching my movies from the computer.
